When should I move my child from cot to bed?
There is no set time when you should make this transition although it is common to make the move between 18 to 36 months old. Another general rule of thumb is if your child is 35”/90cm tall as he would be capable of climbing out of the crib, it would be a good time to move him/her into a bed.

Whether such beds are necessary are purely a matter of preference for each different family. Many parents move their child directly into a single bed as they feel the child will outgrow the toddler bed quickly and eventually need a regular size bed.

What should I look for in a regular bed?
You should look for bed heights of 40-45cm from floor to top of mattress, which will allow your child to get on and off the bed easily. A protective guard rail can also be added to prevent your child from tumbling out of bed. You can also lay a thin mattress or pillows on the floor to cushion their fall, if they do fall. It goes without saying the bed should be well made and sturdy in construction.

What about Bunk Beds?
Although it is a popular consideration given the space constraints of Hong Kong, for safety reasons, we do not recommend the use of bunk beds for children until 6 years or older. Please be reminded that horseplay should be prohibited on or under bunk beds.

Do you carry Trundle Bed?
Yes, a trundle bed is a smaller bed stored under the main/single bed. It is installed with wheels and can be easily pulled out for use. It is ideal for helpers or when your child has a friend over. It can also serve as cushioning protection in case your child falls out when getting used to his first bed.

Do we supply mattresses?
Yes we do. Mattresses are sold separately and we carry brands like Airland, Richland, Sealy, Slumberland, and Simmons. Certain brands offer custom-make service for special sizes. Please equire with us and we will be happy to arrange for you.

What kind of mattress should I get for my child?
A firm mattress. Common sizes available in Hong Kong is 30” x 72” (76x183 cm) or 36”x 72” (92x183 cm). Thicknesses vary and are available from 5.5” (14 cm) to 8” (20cm) .

What is cotton percale?
How your bed linens look and feel is determined by 3 main factors : (1) type/quality/ thickness of the base thread, (2) the way the threads are woven on the loom, and (3) thread count.

Cotton Percale is made from high-quality combed cotton of at least 180 threads per square inch. They create smooth linen that is crisp and cool to touch. Percale also launders beautifully and is long-lasting and durable, making it an ideal choice for children’s beddings. For high quality, look for 200 thread per square inch count.

Do you deliver?
Yes. We deliver for free for purchases of HKD3,000 and above. There is a HKD250 delivery fee otherwise.

Does your furniture arrive pre-assembled?
Some are and some are not; however, all your purchased items will be delivered to your home in assembled form. There are no extra assembling charges.

Do we offer custom make service?
Yes we do. We have a selection of images from our design library which you can refer to or you are welcome to show us some designs you have in mind. We are happy to discuss it in further details with you.
